The OMEGA Ultra Deep is a pioneering masterpiece born from human exploration. As part of the Five Deeps Expedition in 2019, it made history by reaching the deepest point on Earth, setting a world record for submersible timepieces. Now adapted for a select public collection, this extraordinary watch embodies the spirit of adventure while delivering unparalleled technical performance.
Engineered for the most extreme environments, the Ultra Deep is tested in real ocean conditions, water-resistant to an astounding 6,000 metres (20,000 ft.), and fully compliant with the ISO 6425:2018 standard for saturation divers’ watches. This 45.5 mm model, crafted from sand-blasted Grade 5 Titanium, features a brushed black ceramic bezel ring with a precise Liquidmetal™ diving scale.
Through the protuberant, domed sapphire crystal, the dial impresses with black ceramised Grade 5 titanium, highlighted by a gradient white-to-cyan central seconds hand, cyan Arabic numerals, and 18K white gold hour and minute hands and markers, all coated with luminous white Super-LumiNova for exceptional visibility in the deep.
The watch’s unique “Manta Lugs” securely anchor a striped black and cyan polyamide NATO strap, finished with a loop and buckle in Grade 5 Titanium, combining innovation with durability. On the reverse, a Grade 5 titanium caseback medallion is laser-engraved with a Sonar emblem, featuring the iconic OMEGA Seahorse at its centre.
At its core, the Ultra Deep is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912, a movement renowned for precision, reliability, and resilience under the most extreme conditions.
