Breitling Navitimer Collection

BREITLING NAVITIMER COLLECTION

For Globe Trotters

Developed in 1952, the Navitimer from Breitling immediately found success with pilots from the most famous civilian airlines. Thanks to its rotating slide rule, the Navitimer enabled pilots to make necessary flight calculations during the first transatlantic flights.

Only a few years later, it reached iconic status when it was seen on the wrists of celebrities including musician Miles Davis and Formula 1 driver Graham Hill. What began as a tool for charting a pilot’s course has become a symbol for all those plotting their personal journeys through life.

The Navitimer Design

The complex slide rule of the Navitimer is truly iconic. Used as a tool before electronics revolutionised the way pilots performed flight calculations, the slide rule had served as a main instrument for in-air arithmetic.

Today they are adored by watch enthusiasts due to their stunning design, providing a touch of sophistication for traditional methods.
