Breitling’s ultimate all-purpose sports watch, the Chronomat combines robust performance with distinctive, versatile style. First introduced in 1984 to mark Breitling’s centenary, the collection represented a bold return to mechanical watchmaking at a time when quartz movements dominated the industry.

Its origins can be traced to Breitling’s collaboration with the Frecce Tricolori, the renowned Italian aerobatic display team. Seeking an analogue watch capable of withstanding the demands of a jet cockpit while remaining stylish enough for more formal occasions, the team inspired the creation of the Chronograph Frecce Tricolori – the design that would provide the blueprint for the Chronomat.

Designed to complement a wide range of wrists, the Chronomat Automatic 36 is powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 10 automatic movement, providing a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. A practical date display is positioned at 6 o’clock.

The collection is available in a variety of dial colours and finishes, including natural mother-of-pearl, with a choice of stainless steel or gem-set bezels. Completing its distinctive design is Breitling’s signature integrated Rouleaux bracelet, featuring micro-adjustments on both sides of the clasp for enhanced comfort and fit.
