The Oyster Perpetual Milgauss was created for those whose work brings them into contact with magnetic fields that disrupt mechanical watches.

It was designed to resist interference of up to 1,000 gauss, a measurement formerly used for magnetic induction, hence its name (mille meaning a thousand in French). The Milgauss, unveiled in 1956, highlights the historic links between Rolex and scientific research. It maintains exceptional chronometric performance thanks to a patented magnetic shield that protects the movement.
