We invite you to join us under the sparkling moonlight on July 12th for an extraordinary night of hope, compassion, and community spirit as we stride forward in support of St Luke's Hospice Plymouth.
The St Luke's Hospice Midnight Walk has become an emblem of hope, uniting our community in a shared commitment to providing comfort, care, and dignity to those facing life-limiting illnesses. As we lace up our walking shoes and illuminate the night with our collective resolve, we embark on a journey of solidarity and compassion.
In 2024, participants have the choice of three scenic routes: three miles, six miles, or 13.1 miles (equivalent to a half marathon). We extend a warm invitation to the entire family, from young children to parents pushing prams, and seasoned long-distance walkers of all ages.
This year, the journey commences from the heart of excitement at the Plymouth Argyle Fan Zone in Home Park. Before we embark, Clubbercise will lead us in a lively pre-walk warm-up, setting the tone for an evening of camaraderie and purpose. The Midnight Walk serves as a poignant tribute to those dear souls who have left us, while propelling us forward to safeguard the incredible hospice services, whether it be in the comfort of home, the halls of hospitals, or within our dedicated specialist unit.
St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth is very close to our hearts. The late Michael Spiers spent many weeks being cared for by the exceptional team of specialists both at home and at the hospice itself. We donated sufficient funds to build a ward in his name and we
continue to support numerous fundraisers each year to assist the hospice and its inspiring work. In 2023 we were proud to fund the development of the Welcome Garden, a tranquil space for relaxation and recuperation.
As proud sponsors of this event, we have many members of the Michael Spiers family participating and raising money for the cause. We can't wait to see you there!
So, mark your calendars and rally your friends, family, and colleagues. Together, let's light up the darkness and walk hand in hand towards a brighter, more compassionate future for all. Join us for the St Luke's Hospice Midnight Walk 2024, and let's make every step count.
