At Michael Spiers, we are proud to be part of the global network of Rolex-trained watchmakers, entrusted with the care and maintenance of these extraordinary timepieces. By adhering to the Rolex Service Procedure, we ensure that every watch entrusted to our care returns to its original state, maintaining both its functional and aesthetic standards, thereby safeguarding both performance and heritage.
Over the last year, we have continued to grow as a business, including our Rolex Authorised Service Centre.
Our State-of-the-art Workshop
At Michael Spiers, our primary Rolex Authorised Service Centre is located in Plymouth, where our highly skilled Rolex-trained watchmakers are based. From this state-of-the-art workshop, we are able to provide a comprehensive professional service for your Rolex timepiece, from ensuring optimal performance to expertly polishing its components.
In addition, we operate Rolex Authorised Service Centres within our Exeter and Taunton Showrooms. Both were awarded their Rolex Authorised Service Plaque in 2025, enabling our specialist teams in these locations to deliver the same authentic, manufacturer-approved level of care.
Our Watchmakers & Polisher
At our Plymouth Service Centre, we are proud to have two Rolex-trained watchmakers: Alex Elston and Marko Snellman.
United by a shared passion for horology, Alex and Marko bring a wealth of expertise and in-depth knowledge of Rolex timepieces. Alex has been a valued member of the Michael Spiers team since joining in 2021, while Marko is one of the most recent additions to our workshop.
Marko began his watchmaking career in 1995 and joined the Michael Spiers team in June 2025. Deeply fascinated by the complexity and precision of mechanical movements, he takes great pride in restoring each timepiece to perfect timing and performance.
The most recent person to join the Plymouth team, however, is Laxy Zhang, our qualified Rolex polisher. With 3 years of experience, Laxy is responsible for the precision polishing of both the internal components and exterior cases of Rolex timepieces.

The Rolex Service Procedure
As a Rolex Authorised Service Centre, we operate a dedicated workshop exclusively devoted to the servicing of Rolex watches. Equipped with our state-of-the-art tools and facilities, our watchmakers and polishers are trained to the highest standards. They are regularly assessed by Rolex, ensuring consistent excellence at every stage of service.
From the precise adjustment of a bracelet to a complete overhaul, every service operation required for a watch is carried out in-house by our expert team, ensuring its precision, reliability, and appearance are maintained. Timekeeping accuracy and waterproofness are rigorously tested to guarantee the level of quality and reliability you naturally expect from a Rolex timepiece. After a complete service, your Rolex is covered by a two-year Service Guarantee.
