TUDOR: Built for the Bold

Posted on 22 January 2026

TUDOR has long been synonymous with precision, resilience, and a fearless spirit. From the very beginning, back in 1926, the brand has crafted impeccable timepieces for those who are truly Born to Dare, individuals who push boundaries, challenge convention, and thrive in demanding environments.

Rooted in a legacy of purpose-built design, TUDOR’s watches are more than pieces of luxury; they are uncompromising tool watches, engineered to perform whether in the pursuit of a personal best or amid the world’s most inhospitable landscapes.

As we step into 2026, we turn our focus to the bold spirit that defines the brand. This article explores some of TUDOR’s most daring timepieces alongside the elite sports teams and partnerships that embody the same values of determination, resilience, and ambition. Together, they form a powerful expression of what it means to be Born to Dare.

The Thrill of the Race

First on our journey is TUDOR’s latest chapter in modern adventure: its partnership with the legendary Dakar Rally, marked by the unveiling of a newly reimagined Ranger collection in striking “Dune” White.

Simply known as The Dakar, this off-road endurance rally is among the most punishing competitions on Earth. Competitors are pushed to their absolute limits, traversing vast seas of towering dunes, deep mud, camel grass, and jagged rock formations. It is an environment few would dare to enter, reserved only for those driven by courage, resilience, and an unrelenting pursuit of adventure.

As the rally’s official timekeeper, TUDOR captures every decisive moment, measuring each second across every stage under the same uncompromising conditions faced by the drivers themselves. Set against the dramatic landscape of Saudi Arabia, this year’s route further reinforced the rally’s reputation as a true test of endurance, precision, and mental fortitude.

In tribute to those bold enough to take on this formidable challenge, TUDOR closed out 2025 with the release of the latest additions to the Ranger collection. Offered in both black and “Dune” White dials, and available in refined 36mm and 39mm case sizes, the new models embody purposeful elegance. The “Dune” White dial, in particular, commands attention, its warm, understated tone echoing the endless desert landscapes that define the spirit of Dakar itself. Beautiful in design, yet representing the desolate dunes of the desert.

Built for Speed

As a Swiss watchmaker, TUDOR has long been inseparable from the world of motorsport. For the Maison, “daring” has never referred solely to punishing environments like the Dakar Rally; it also means speed and the spirit of relentless pursuit.

TUDOR’s racing story began in the golden era of motorsport with the TUDOR Watch Racing Team in the late 1960s, and has continued unabated ever since, race after race. That legacy entered a new chapter in 2024 with the brand’s partnership with the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team.

In 2025, TUDOR marked this partnership at the Miami Grand Prix with the launch of the limited-edition Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25.” Rendered in the colours of the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 team, the black-and-white dial is punctuated by the team’s signature blue, subtly echoed in the strap stitching for a cohesive, performance-driven aesthetic.

True to its name, the reference M79377KN-0001 is constructed entirely from carbon fibre, including the end-links, complemented by titanium pushers and a PVD-finished titanium caseback. Designed with speed in mind and engineered with uncompromising precision, the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25” embodies TUDOR’s racing spirit as the team sets its sights firmly on the podium. We can only wait in anticipation for the 2026 season.

Pedal Power

Continuing to explore TUDOR’s mantra, the maison has also established a strong presence in the world of professional cycling through its own Pro Cycling team, led by Swiss cycling legend Fabian Cancellara, winner of two Olympic medals, four World Championship titles, and seven Monument Classic victories.

A sport defined by relentless physical and psychological demands, cycling mirrors TUDOR’s philosophy. Together, TUDOR and Cancellara have built a team driven by the pursuit of constant improvement, the courage to confront challenges, and the ambition to push beyond their limits. At the team’s start-of-year press conference earlier this year, Cancellara looked back on the season, stating:

"Reflecting on 2025, we can proudly say that Tudor Pro Cycling has reached significant milestones in its young history. We celebrated our debut Tour de France and our first Monument podium, alongside standout victories such as Michael Storer’s stage win at Paris-Nice and Julian Alaphilippe’s triumph in Québec. These are just a few of the many achievements from 2025 that make us proud."

Fabian Cancellera

Building on this momentum in 2025, TUDOR set out to develop a timepiece specifically tailored to the needs of its Pro Cycling team riders. The objective was to create a watch capable of withstanding the rigours of professional cycling, while also serving as a practical and reliable tool on the road. The result is the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Cycling Edition.”

Designed with legibility as a top priority, the matte black dial with red accents draws direct inspiration from the TUDOR Pro Cycling team jersey. Equipped with chronograph and date functions and powered by the MT5813 calibre with a 70-hour power reserve, the watch is housed in a robust carbon composite case. The Pelagos FXD Chrono Cycling Edition, reference M25827KN-0001, stands as a powerful expression of performance-driven design and purpose. Yet another win for TUDOR.

Tested on the Pitch

Finally, we turn our attention to TUDOR’s partnership with the legendary New Zealand All Blacks. Rugby is an uncompromising sport, and competing at the highest level demands total dedication. From the physical toll of the game to the ability to perform under relentless pressure, every match is a true test of skill, resilience, and character.

The All Blacks are, therefore, a natural partner for TUDOR. From their commanding presence on the pitch, marked by the world-famous haka, an awe-inspiring Māori war dance, to their exceptional cohesion and precision as a team, the All Blacks have earned their place among sporting legends.

With an extraordinary Test match win rate of over 77%, they consistently command global attention, especially considering they hail from a nation of just 4.5 million people.

Named after the colour of their kit, the All Blacks jersey has become one of the most iconic pieces of sportswear in the world. Adorned with the silver fern, first adopted by the New Zealand Rugby team in 1893, it stands as a powerful symbol of national pride and sporting excellence.

As part of their partnership with TUDOR, players are frequently seen wearing the Black Bay and Black Bay Pro models, distinct designs united by their bold aesthetics, with black dials, and a shared commitment to performance, precision, and pride.
