Director Michael Cox has been made an honorary member of the National Association of Jewellers also know as the NAJ. The invitation to become an Honorary Member has also been distributed to past chairmen and past vice presidents of the N.A.G as well as the BJA
The NAJ have publicly acknowledged Michael Cox who has contributed so much of his time and expertise to the industry.
The NAJ was formed in 2015 through the unification of the British Jewellers\' Association (BJA) and National Association of Goldsmiths (N.A.G) and represents over 2,000 members whose businesses operate in every aspect of the jewellery industry. As the UK’s leading Jewellery Association, the NAJ looks to increase confidence in the UK’s consumer purchase of jewellery through members who possess integrity, professionalism and creativity. The move’s desired effect is that the industry will benefit from the NAJ and the knowledge and experience Michael Cox brings.
Gemologist Michael Cox sources beautiful diamonds and rare gemstones for customers of Michael Spiers from around the world. Spending a lot of his time sorting through hundreds of stones mostly from London or Antwerp but has been known to go as far as Tel Aviv, Mumbai and Thailand.
Our reputation for diamonds and gemstones spreads far beyond the South West and this is largely down to Director Michael Cox as he is also a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses and his wealth of buying experience translates into exceptional stones being crafted at our Plymouth workshop.
