Considered one of the best drivers of all time, it is only right that these two fine new models pay tribute to the legend himself and TAG Heuer ambassador – Ayrton Senna. These luxurious yet sporty special edition models pay homage to Ayrton Senna’s lasting impact on the sport through his countless breaking of motor-racing records and his ability to never stop pushing himself beyond the limit.
Not only do these timepieces celebrate his incredible career but also celebrate his long-standing partnership with TAG Heuer and the legacy that he has left behind, inspiring TAG Heuer to pursue the never-ending quest to create the perfect watch.
Distinguishing it from other TAG Heuer models, both feature a ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale that goes up to 400 km/h, giving a nod to Ayrton Senna’s personal record speed of 340 km/h.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph 44 mm, powered by the calibre 16 Automatic, sports a sunray-brushed anthracite dial and is presented on a black calfskin strap with black lining and Senna yellow stitching. An extra nod to the racing hero is the embossed “S” pattern on the strap, reminiscent of the links on his favourite TAG Heuer stainless-steel bracelet.
This special edition piece is also available with a quartz movement. TAG Heuer Formula 1 Quartz Chronograph 43 mm, has a fine-brushed stainless-steel case with an anthracite sunray-brushed dial. Yellow touches on the dial and bezel complete the unmistakable colour scheme that links the watch to Ayrton Senna.
