Due to a fire started in the early hours of this morning in the Cathedral Green area, Michael Spiers’ Exeter store, located at 22 Cathedral Yard, will be closed until the police have finished with their inquiries and can confirm the area is safe to reopen. Thankfully, at this time there has been no reported casualties and the fire is currently contained to the affected building.
We would like to thank the local fire service and police force for their quick response and continued efforts in saving what is one of Exeter’s most historic and beautiful areas. We would also like to wish all the surrounding businesses on the Green well, including all those at Exeter Cathedral.
