Gucci has introduced its new
Horsebit fine jewellery collection to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this iconic line. This collection, deeply ingrained in Gucci’s equestrian heritage, showcases an elegant assortment of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. Each piece highlights the Horsebit motif, a symbol synonymous with the House’s style and craftsmanship.
The Horsebit design, first introduced in the 1940s, draws inspiration from horseback riding. This iconic double-ring-and-bar motif has transitioned from a practical equestrian accessory to a symbol of elegance and prestige in fashion. It quickly became a hallmark of sophistication, adorning handbags, belts, small leather goods, and the iconic Horsebit loafer in 1953.
In 2004, the Horsebit design debuted in the realm of fine jewellery. This year’s anniversary collection honours this evolution with a contemporary interpretation of the iconic motif. The collection features pieces crafted from yellow and rose gold, some adorned with diamonds for a touch of opulence. The necklaces boast delicate chains and Horsebit pendants, exuding timeless charm. The bracelets, available in various styles, offer simplicity and intricacy, suitable for any occasion. The earrings and rings, with their elegant lines and subtle details, complete the collection, making each piece a statement of refined luxury.
The accompanying campaign, photographed by Deo Suveera and Pamela Dimitrov, captures the profound connection between Gucci and the equestrian world. It features a diverse cast, including Agel Akol, Ana Rossolovich, Chloe Oh, and Achille Genet, embodying the collection’s sophisticated allure. The juxtaposition of these models with captivating close-ups of horses highlights the grace and power inherent in both the jewellery and the equestrian lifestyle.
